  1. I believe that a tremendous spiritual and physical shaking is taking place. Our Post-Christian culture is having its worldview shaken: its dominant philosophy of 'personal peace and personal prosperity' is being seriously challenged. Terrorism and 'The Chaos of Violence' was one of the 5 potential pressures that Dr. Francis Schaeffer identified some 25 years ago which could bring about the rise of authoritarian government and the loss of personal freedom.   2. I believe that God told me in late June several years previously, as posted on our website then, that there was warfare in the heavenlies that would soon prestage warfare on earth. I believe we are in a tremendous spiritual battle that is now manifesting itself in physical warfare on earth, particularly here in the United States. I do not believe that this is the end of the conflict, but only the first installment and that more is coming. 


  3. I believe that God is in the process of calling out an underground church, not one that will meet in caves and catacombs, but one that will meet and network house-to-house. I further believe that God is about to pour out the River of His Spirit to feed an underground revival (not one of mass meetings and public 'hoopla') that will flow and spread from house to house and family to family. 


  4. I believe that the call of God upon His Church at this moment is to engage this spiritual warfare with disciplined and concerted prayer and fasting, not as a short-term program but as a long-term  lifestyle. We must become a Church that is known for its  fasting and intercession. God is looking for and raising up 'battle hardened' Christians who know how to advance into enemy territory on their knees and to destroy spiritual strongholds with prayer and fasting.


  5. I believe that the proper response of the Church at this moment is to declare a season of fasting and prayer for the revival of God's people and the awakening of the masses. I am asking many of you to join me in concerted fasting and prayer for God's Kingdom purposes to be revealed and for His Kingdom power to be released.

In closing

I believe there is a biblical/spiritual principle to the effect that 'warfare in the heavenlies always precedes warfare on the earth.' In other words, spiritual warfare affects and precedes physical warfare. Another way to view this is, to win or to stop physical warfare, violence and the sword on earth, we must first win or stop the spiritual warfare in the heavenlies.
